Abstract:The near-threshold technique is the most effective method for very low power consumption today. However, the delay of the standard cell would increase exponentially as the voltage drops lower than the threshold, resulting in a significant error in the conventional look-up table design. We analyze the boundary and size of look-up table in detail in this report, and then propos a method to solve that problem happening around at threshold voltage in the standard cell library. Based on our research works, the library file of 0.6v smic55nmCMOS technology has been characterized and evaluated. The verification results also demonstrate that the accuracy of our method has been improved 16-63.51% comparing with traditional methods.
