Abstract:To achieve optimization rapidly and automatically in the process of product development, an integrated optimization system platform was established by modeling with the implicit parametric software SFE CONCEPT, and integrating SFE CONCEPT, the solver LS-DYNA, and the data processor Matlab with the multidisciplinary design optimization software iSIGHT. For an example, the lightweight optimization of the shape in space, the section, and the thickness of the front bumper beam was carried out with the premise of ensuring the safety of collision. With minimizing the mass of beam as the objective , the compressed displacement and the peak of acceleration as the constrains, the optimization under three low-speed crash simulation analysis, 40% offset barrier, rigid wall and the rigid pillar, was conducted in optimal Latin hypercube design and adaptive simulated annealing method, and the result was satisfactory.
