The mass transfer coefficient (.K.-Ga-v) and the removal efficiency of carbon dioxide for aqueous MEA-based absorption process were investigated in a packed absorber filled with θ-ring stainless steel packing. The experiment results showed that .K.-Ga-v decreased with the increase of CO-2 lean-loading, and increased with the rise of MEA concentration and liquid flow rate. In addition, an increase in feed temperature from 30 to 50 ℃ led to an increase in .K.-Ga-v.
