      2010, 37(5):12-17.

      Abstract (1182) HTML (0) PDF 0.00 Byte (204) Comment (0) Favorites

Abstract:The APDL language was used to obtain the parameter model of tri-directional beam string structure (TBSS) of new Guangzhou Railway Station. Then design optimization was conducted for the effective cross-sections and geometry parameters of TBSS with the first-order method. And when the rise and sag were fixed, the proper structural cross-section was also discussed with graded and integrated optimization method respectively. The results show that the rise and sag are very important design parameters of TBSS. The optimum rise of upper arch of TBSS for new Guangzhou Railway Station is 9.189 m; the sag to span ratio of cable is not less than 0.034; the economical rise to sag ratio is about 0.22~0.23. It can also be found that the weight ratio of upper arch elements to the whole structure is large, so the amount of steel can be reduced by decreasing the thickness of upper arches. And the optimum rigidity ratio of beam to cable of TBSS of new Guangzhou Railway Station is 1.23×10-4 by integrated optimization.

      Abstract (1038) HTML (0) PDF 0.00 Byte (196) Comment (0) Favorites

Abstract:The Finite Element Method (FEM) model of Wuhan Junshan Yangtze River Bridge was established, and the dynamic characteristics, nonlinear seismic responses under uniform and non-uniform excitations, and the seismic control measures were systematically studied. The results show that: 1) the basic cycle of Wuhan Junshan Yangtze River Bridge is about 8.881s, which is very long. Its first mode of vibration is longitudinal floating mode. 2) The geometric nonlinearity has much influence on the response of this kind of bridge. 3) The non-uniform excitations are unfavorable to the design of tower and the main girder when considering the three orthogonal seismic wave input. 4)The replacement of normal bearing by the LRB or VED or LRB+VED is favorable to the seismic control, but it is prior to adopt the type of LRB+VED.

      Abstract (1235) HTML (0) PDF 0.00 Byte (229) Comment (0) Favorites

Abstract:The theory modal analysis (TMA,forward problem) and experimental modal analysis (EMA,inverse problem) methods were both used to analyze the dynamics characteristic parameters of one commercial vehicle cab's body-in-white. Finite element modal analysis was carried out to obtain the mode shape and lay down the basis for experimental modal analysis in TMA process. In EMA process, LSCE(Least Squares Complex exponent method) and LSCF (Least Squares Complex Frequency Domain method, commercial name is PolyMAX) methods were used to get the mode shape and modify the TMA results. Based on the comparison among all the results, the accurate conclusion can be reached and the improvement measures can be brought forward to the prototype. The improvement projection was proved to be effective by consumers' utilization after manufacturer put it into applications.

    • Error Compensation for Truck Scale Based on Multiple RBF Neural Networks

      2010, 37(5):40-44.

      Abstract (1483) HTML (0) PDF 0.00 Byte (213) Comment (0) Favorites

Abstract:Conventional method of error compensation for truck scales is fussy and the weighing results are not precise, so an error compensation method based on multiple radial basis function neural networks (RBFNN) was proposed. The sub-RBFNNs were confirmed according to the maximum permissible error of scale's different verified weighing capacities. The compensation models were established and then the algorithm of training RBFNN was presented. Sub-RBFNNs were combined and one of them was chosen to fully compensate weighing error of every capacity by adaptive network, and then optimum compensation of total weighing range was obtained. Simulation experiments show that the sub-RBFNN's size of this proposed method is smaller and the errors are less than those of the method that compensates the error of total weighing range with single RBFNN.

    • Method of Fault Diagnosis for Induction Machine Rotor Broken Bar Based on Wavelet Package and Elman Neural Network

      2010, 37(5):45-48.

      Abstract (1013) HTML (0) PDF 0.00 Byte (231) Comment (0) Favorites

Abstract:A fault diagnosis method was presented for motor rotor broken bar fault based on wavelet package analysis (WPS) and Elman neural network. The sideband frequency current, which reflects the broken bar fault, was analyzed with the technology of wavelet package decomposition. The frequency segment power under operating states was abstracted as fault characteristic vectors, which weaken the influences of variable load and noise. Elman neural network was adopted to identify the broken bar fault. To improve its performance, Elman neural network was modified by adding a self-feedback gain factor in the context nodes. Energy of various frequency bands acting as the fault characteristic vector was input into the modified Elman neural network to realize the mapping between the feature vector and the fault mode. Experiment results show that the fault characteristic vectors abstracted by WPA are evident. The diagnosis system based on wavelet package and Elman neural network could identify motor rotor broken bar fault efficiently and accurately.

    • The Speed Sensorless Control for Induction Motor with Rotor Resistance Estimation

      2010, 37(5):49-53.

      Abstract (1242) HTML (0) PDF 0.00 Byte (183) Comment (0) Favorites

Abstract:A speed estimation method, which can estimate the rotor resistance, was proposed for induction motor, whose rotor resistance is unknown. In this scheme, the stator resistance was supposed to be known, therefore the improved voltage model was used to estimate the rotor flux. From the stationary frame model of induction motor, two expressions of rotor speed and rotor resistance were deduced. Under the condition that the rotor flux is known, the two expressions are taken as two binary simple equations. Solving the two equations, we can get the expressions of the unknown rotor speed and rotor resistance. The validation requirements of the two expressions were analyzed. The speed sensorless control scheme was proposed for induction motors. The simulation results indicate that the proposed scheme can estimate the rotor speed and the rotor resistance accurately.

      Abstract (1490) HTML (0) PDF 0.00 Byte (210) Comment (0) Favorites

Abstract:Based on MATLAB/SIMULINK, this paper introduced a method of the systematic design and behavioral simulation of the sigma-delta modulator. Through the method, firstly,a performance-optimized modulator structure can be found by defining the order, OSR and the bit number of the inserted quantizer , optimizing the NTF zeros and scaling the structure coefficients of the modulator. Then the non-ideal modulator was modeled and simulated based on SIMULINK through the analysis of the modulator non-ideality, and the modulator sub-circuits performance was acquired finally. The simulation result of the modulator circuit designed under the guidance of the acquired sub-circuits performance shows that the acquired sub-circuits performance can guide the modulator circuit design effectively and reliably.

      2010, 37(5):64-68.

      Abstract (1038) HTML (0) PDF 0.00 Byte (192) Comment (0) Favorites

Abstract:Polyaniline-Na+-montmorillonite(PANI-Na+-MMT)composite material was synthesized by electrochemical polymerization method. Preparation process of aniline- Na+-montmorillonite precursor was discussed in detail. X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and electrochemical method were used to characterize the composite. XRD result shows that the interlamellar space of Na+-MMT increases obviously after being intercalated by aniline. Moreover, the interlamellar space of Na+-MMT after electropolymerization is bigger than that of pure Na+-MMT, but smaller than that of aniline intercalated Na+-MMT. SEM image shows that the Na+-MMT composite material after electropolymerization becomes denser. The electrocatalytic properties of the PANI-Na+-MMT modified electrode for the electrochemical oxidation of methanol and redox of potassium ferricyanide are excellent.

      2010, 37(5):69-73.

      Abstract (1086) HTML (0) PDF 0.00 Byte (213) Comment (0) Favorites

Abstract:Si-enhanced AZ91 magnesium alloy was obtained through Rapid Solidification/Powder Metallurgy (RS/PM). The effects of different Si content on the microstructure, the room and elevated temperature mechanical properties of AZ91 alloy were examined. The results show that Mg2Si particles generated in situ grew up gradually as the increasing of Si content. Adding Si to the alloy can significantly improve the room and elevated temperature mechanical properties. At the room temperature, the tensile strength of alloys improved with the Si contents increased when the Si contents less than 3(mass)%. But when the Si contents increased to 5(mass)%, the alloy tensile strength reduced significantly. The alloy with 3(mass)%Si exhibits the best mechanical properties, its 0.2% yield tensile strength, ultimate tensile strength and elongation of rupture were 354.93 MPa, 472.36 MPa and 4.70%,respectively. And the alloy elevated temperature (473 K) tensile properties improved as the Si addition increased.

      Abstract (1183) HTML (0) PDF 0.00 Byte (197) Comment (0) Favorites

Abstract:Samples of TSP were collected in the center area of Changsha City in autumn in order to study the concentration of TSP and the speciation of Cu, Zn, Pb, and Cd in atmospheric particles, also the pollution level and bioavailability of these metals were evaluated. The results showed that the concentrations of TSP in different sampling sites were obviously different and heavy metals pollution had extensively existence. The concentrations of Zn,Pb were larger than those of Cu and Cd,with the average concentration of Zn being 2.528 μg?m-3, Pb 2.347 μg?m-3, Cu 0.187 μg?m-3 and Cd 0.002 μg?m-3.According to the results of Tessier chemical speciation analysis, Cu had a very high concentration in the first four speciations ,especially in the exchangeable state and carbonate state. Also Zn, Pb, and Cd had the similar distribution, which indicates the four metals have high mobility and bioavailability. The order of comparative mobility and bioavailability of heavy metals is: Cu>Cd>Zn>Pb.
