    • Research on Arrangement of Hoop-layers of Imitating Bamboo Drum Type Tridimensional Parking Structure

      2013, 40(4):1-7.

      Abstract (1088) HTML (0) PDF 0.00 Byte (0) Comment (0) Favorites

Abstract:Considering that the structural type and load feature of vertical lifting tridimensional parking structures are similar to those of bamboo, a new structural arrangement style of tridimensional parking structure was presented, that is to set hoop-layers like bamboo knots at their proper height according to the imitating bamboo principle that any two adjacent hoop-layers have equal stability and lateral displacement. The static and stability properties of imitating bamboo structure and non-imitating bamboo structures were studied. It is shown that the lateral stiffness of imitating bamboo structure is obviously improved and the storey relative lateral displacement becomes smaller and more uniformly distributed. The internal force mutation of columns is relatively moderate, and the resisting overturning ability of structures is enhanced. Moreover, the whole stabilization of structures controlled by equivalent short columns improves the stability bearing capacity. All the above verify the rationality of the arrangement of hoop-layers in imitating bamboo parking structure.

      Abstract (1022) HTML (0) PDF 0.00 Byte (0) Comment (0) Favorites

Abstract:Three 1/5 scale models of walls were tested to study the mechanical behavior of a new type RC grid frame structure under cyclic loads, which includes bearing capacity, hysteretic loops, skeleton curves, ductility, stiffness and energy dissipation capacity. The test results have shown that the new type RC grid frame structure demonstrates the characteristics of the frame structures, and the inflecture points occur on each floor, belonging to shear-type failure; it has full hysteretic curve and strong energy dissipation capacity, and better ductility than the conventional frame structures. The stiffness reduces fast after the specimens yield, but slowly by before the specimens are destroyed. Considering the nonlinear material, geometry and contact, and calculating the grid frame structure with cast-phosphogypsum as infilled walls by using the finite element software ANSYS under the same condition, the max horizontal displacement is larger than the test results by about 5.8%, which agrees well with the test results. The mechanical behavior of RC grid frame structure with cast-phosphogypsum as infilled walls is between the frame structure and the shear wall. The structure is suitable for the construction of high-rise residential and office buildings.

Comparison with the existing research results shows that high damping concrete coupled shear wall with enhanced concealed bracings is more effective than RC coupled shear wall with concealed bracings.

    • Shaking Table Test Model Design for UHV Latticed Transmission Tower-line Coupling System

      2013, 40(4):20-25.

      Abstract (1292) HTML (0) PDF 0.00 Byte (0) Comment (0) Favorites

Abstract:Ultra high voltage(UHV) latticed transmission tower-line coupling system is characterized by long-span and high-rise, and the existing experimental methods can not complete the shaking table tests. This paper designed a coupled system model consisting of three towers and two-span conductors, which took a single-circuit AC transmission project as the prototype. The material selection, the dynamic similarity relations and the design of the test plan for shaking table model of UHV transmission tower-line coupled system were introduced. To simulate the different dynamic characteristics between elastic latticed transmission tower and flexible transmission conductors and ground wires which show strong geometrical nonlinearity, separated dynamic parameter scale ratios for the two parts were used independently in the design of the system, which can solve the trouble that the span of transmission line is too long to fit within the shake table in the same proportions as the tower. Shaking table test requirements can be satisfied by comparing theoretical analysis with the actual measurements of the system model.

    • Wind-induced Response Based Equivalent Static Wind Load Optimum Design for Tall Building

      2013, 40(4):26-31.

      Abstract (1113) HTML (0) PDF 0.00 Byte (0) Comment (0) Favorites

Abstract:To optimize the equivalent static wind loads(ESWL)of tall buildings, a global optimization method that combined wind tunnel test results with finite-element analysis was proposed. Dynamic characteristics of structure were computed by finite element analysis, combined with wind tunnel test results of scale model. ESWLs for prototype were calculated through gust load factor (GLF).Then optimization toolbox of ANSYS was used to optimize ESWL, taking the minimum weight as the target function and the limit top displacement of the tall building as the constraint. Finally, the global optimization method was applied to optimize the ESWL of a 60-storey steel frame structure. The results have shown that the equivalent static wind load can be reduced by 10.71% after optimization, when the optimal design is conducted subjected to the condition to meet the requirement of the top displacement of the tall building. In addition, the feasibility of the global optimization method has also been validated.

    • Seismic Response of Rocking Pier System on Rigid Foundation

      2013, 40(4):32-40.

      Abstract (960) HTML (0) PDF 0.00 Byte (0) Comment (0) Favorites

Abstract:This paper proposed a theoretic model to analyze the dynamic behavior of a bridge by applying the concept of rocking pier system (RPS) . Numerical analysis was proceeded to investigate the performance of the RPS under various circumstance such as with or without tendons, with slack or post-tensioned tendons, tendon areas, vibrating period of piers, and exciting intensity of 1940 El Centro earthquake. The calculated results indicate that a peak base shear at the bottom of piers may be produced, when impacts occur. However, this value is still smaller than that of a conventional pier system (CPS). So that the merit of RPS is to remain elastic and to avoid any damage under the excitation of strong earthquake. And the seismic intensity to start the rocking of RPS can be set by adjusting the tendon area or post-tensioned forces in order to prevent rocking and termination of transport function of bridges under excitations of smaller intensity of earthquakes.

      Abstract (1053) HTML (0) PDF 0.00 Byte (0) Comment (0) Favorites

Abstract:This paper proposed a new Chaos-Genetic Algorithm, which improved the combination between the chaos mapping and genetic algorithm in order to add chaotic search to the population evolution, so that the ergodicity of the genetic algorithm can be enhanced. And the algorithm can effectively overcome the defects of local optimum of the genetic. In the software ADVISOR2002, for a Plug-in Hybrid Electrical Vehicle (PHEV) using fuzzy energy management strategy as the research object, the membership functions and rules of fuzzy EMS were optimized with Chaos-Genetic Algorithm. Simulation results demonstrate that this Chaos-Genetic Algorithm can optimize the fuzzy EMS globally. Compared with the original fuzzy control strategy, the optimized fuel economy increases by 5.15% and the CO emission reduces by 6.39%.

      2013, 40(4):49-54.

      Abstract (1057) HTML (0) PDF 0.00 Byte (0) Comment (0) Favorites

Abstract:Aiming at the limitation of the traditional log-linear model widely applied to frequency prediction of traffic accidents, in which the elasticity is assumed as constant and the interrelation of the explosive variables is simplified, a new frequency prediction model of traffic accidents based on translog production function was proposed. Adopting a dynamic elasticity, the model predicts the accident frequency according to two major variables: traffic flow and the length of section. The Ontario accident statistics from Canada has verified its effectiveness and better goodness of fit compared with the traditional log-linear model.

    • Analysis of Structural Dynamics in Thermoacoustic Engine with Special-shaped Regenerators

      2013, 40(4):55-60.

      Abstract (995) HTML (0) PDF 0.00 Byte (0) Comment (0) Favorites

Abstract:Analysis from the perspective of structural dynamics was done to find out how the structure of regenerator affects the thermoacoustic engine. Based on ordinary stack, models of pin array and stacks with fins or with micro-slots were created in ANSYS. Structural dynamics analysis was carried out on thermoacoustic engine with all the three stacks. The results showed that the resonance frequency of engine with ordinary stack occurred at 150Hz, which changed with the special-shaped regenerators, and the maximum strain amplitude appeared at a higher order modality. And it has indicated that the optimization of the regenerator's structure is an effective way to improve the performance of thermoacoustic engine.

The results show that the structures of main shaft and magnetic poles reach the design requirements. Compared with the traditional calculation method, its precision can better satisfy the engineering demand, and the efficiency is highed.

    • Test and Comparison Analysis on Properties of Random Sequences Generated by Unpredictable Physical Chaos

      2013, 40(4):65-70.

      Abstract (973) HTML (0) PDF 0.00 Byte (0) Comment (0) Favorites

Abstract:Two methods of generating random sequences by several typical physical chaotic systems, including Chua's circuit, Lorenz system and Chen's system, were given. And the randomness properties of the random sequences generated by the chaos systems were analyzed by using NIST's STS randomness test suite. Six tests, which are the monobit test, the runs test, the discrete Fourier transform test, the approximate entropy test, and the cumulative sums test, were conducted to compare the pseudorandom properties of these chaotic sequences. The experiment results show that the randomness properties of the sequences generated by physical chaos are better than those by simulation chaos, and NIST's STS randomness test suite can distinguish the randomness of different sequences. Among three typical physical chaotic circuits, we recommend the circuit of Chen's system to generate random sequences.

Moreover, the amount of silane coupling of diamond surface modified in KH550 toluene solution was more than that modified in KH550 alcohol solution.

    • Analysis of the SPATA12 Gene Expression Pattern in Multiple Tumors Using Tissue Micro-array

      2013, 40(4):75-79.

      Abstract (1277) HTML (0) PDF 0.00 Byte (0) Comment (0) Favorites

Abstract:To investigate the expression pattern of human spermatogenesis associated gene 12(SPATA12)and its correlation with clinicopathological features in multiple tumors,Virtual Northern analysis based on EST in 41 human normal tissues and corresponding tumor tissues was firstly used to evaluate digital mRNA profiling of SPATA12. Then in situ hybridization was performed to detect the expression of SPATA12 in 96 cases of multiple-organ tumor tissues and 208 cases of lung tumor tissues by using tissue micro-array.Virtual Northern results show that SPATA12 is predominantly expressed in normal testis and slightly expressed in lung cancers. In situ hybridization results demonstrate that SPATA12 gene has different expression frequency in multiple tumor tissues. SPATA12 is highly expressed in the cutaneous malignant melanoma, prostatic carcinoma and chronic inflammation of prostate, gastric cancer and its cancer-adjacent tissues, prostatic carcinoma and its cancer-adjacent tissues, papillary thyroid carcinoma and pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma. In lung tumors, the positive rates of SPATA12 expression in lung adenocarcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, carcinoid and large cell lung cancer tissues were 16.13%,29.17%,30%,100%,respectively. There was a significant difference between SPATA12 expression and different pathological casificated lung cancers (P<0.01),but no significant difference among age, gender and clinical stages (P>0.05). The expression pattern of SPATA12 gene is consistent with the expression feature of cancer/testis antigens family. And the expression of SPATA12 in lung tumor patients indicate that SPATA12 is closely related to pathological classification.Detection of SPATA12 might be helpful to evaluate molecular classification for lung tumors.

      2013, 40(4):80-86.

      Abstract (976) HTML (0) PDF 0.00 Byte (0) Comment (0) Favorites

Abstract:The hot deformation behavior of Q690 low carbon microalloyed steel was studied with compression tests on a Gleeble-3 800 simulator in the temperature range from 850 ℃ to 1150 ℃ and true strain rate from 0.01 s-1 to 30 s-1 . Based on dynamic materials model (DMM), the processing map for the Q690 steel was obtained, and the microstructure characteristics were studied with optical microscope. The results have shown that, when the true strain is less than 0.7, there are two efficiency dissipative peak regions (1 000~1 120 ℃, 0.01~0.37s-1 and 1 100~1 150 ℃, 3.16~30 s-1) and three processing instability regions(850~900 ℃, 0.01~0.32s-1 and 850~900 ℃, 10~30s-1 and 1 000~1 085 ℃, 1~30s-1) in the processing maps. The true strain is more than 0.8, there are two efficiency dissipative peak regions (1 025~1 100℃, 0.01~0.38 s-1 and 1 100~1 150 ℃, 3~30 s-1) , and the flow instability regions appear at the temperature of 850~900 ℃ and the strain of 0.01~30 s-1, as well as at the temperature of 850~1 100 ℃ and the strain rate of 1~30 s-1. The microstructures of the two peak efficiency regions are uniform, fully dynamic recrystallization grain, so the optimum processing parameters of hot deformation have been achieved.

    • Feature Selection Fuzzy Weighted Multi-Gabor Face Recognition

      2013, 40(4):87-93.

      Abstract (996) HTML (0) PDF 0.00 Byte (0) Comment (0) Favorites

Abstract:After studying how to select and represent Gabor features of human face, how to combine the recognition results of different Gabor channels, a face recognition method based on multichannel Gaborface representation (MGFR) was proposed. Firstly, feature areas and calculated weight in each channel were selected according to class separability of Gabor features. Then, fuzzy weighted rule was used to combine all the recognition results of different channels. This method can reduce the effect of redundancy information. Meanwhile, it takes advantage of the difference between channels and solves the boundary classification problem. Experiments on AR, CAS-PEAL-R1 and YaleB show that the proposed method has a higher recognition rate than the traditional MGFR. Simultaneously, it was compared with ensemble Gaborface representation (EGFR), which shows it has a great advantage in average recognition time.

    • Analysis on RAKE Receiver and Equalization under Ultra-wideband Multipath Channel

      2013, 40(4):94-99.

      Abstract (1272) HTML (0) PDF 0.00 Byte (0) Comment (0) Favorites

Abstract:Does RAKE receiver need channel equalization under Ultra Wideband (UWB) multipath channel with inter-symbol interference (ISI)? The conclusion has not been explicitly drawn up so far. By considering the ISI as AWGN in RAKE receiver, or the channel delay spread being reduced by RAKE receiver, researchers hold the optimistic argument that RAKE receiver can play the role of equalization. This paper investigated these existing viewpoints. By analyzing the conditions and foundations from which the controversy originates, we also theoretically studied the performance of RAKE receiver under ISI. The RAKE receiver and equalization simulations, where the multipath channel models under IEEE 802.15 standard were adopted, were designed to validate the analysis. It comes to the opposite conclusion that RAKE receiver does not have the ability to suppress ISI. Therefore, it needs channel equalization to tackle ISI under UWB multipath channel environment.

    • Research on the Incentive Mechanism of Radical Innovation Based on the Principal Agent Theory

      2013, 40(4):104-108.

      Abstract (1126) HTML (0) PDF 0.00 Byte (0) Comment (0) Favorites

Abstract:This paper proposes a framework of the incentive mechanism of innovation. The “bandit problem” is embedded into the principal agent model to study the incentive mechanism of radical innovation and incremental innovation. The study finds that the optimal contract that implements radical innovation rewards long-term success, but not short-term success. On the contrary, it may even reward short-term failure. In addition, incentive mechanism of radical innovation also includes persistent commitment to a long-term incentive plan, and timely feedback on performance. Specific measures include "golden parachute", managerial entrenchment, and legal protection of bankruptcy that is benefit for debtors, etc.
